During #TechWeekNYC, OpenPolicy collaborated with Axonius, Team8, Insight Partners, Israel Economic Mission to the USA - East Coast, Eliav Benjamin, the State of Israel, GiveIsrael.org, Cyabra, Israeli Mapped in NY to lead an event in support of Israel.
Andreessen Horowitz #TechweekNYC is one of the leading innovation events in the world. As innovators and VCs from all over the world gathered in NYC to celebrate the wonder of tech entrepreneurship, the Israeli innovation ecosystem and its supporters are fighting a war over its existence, a war against terror.
It was inspiring to see the mobilization of our ecosystem. In less than a week (!), we put together an event focused on standing with Israel.
🇮🇱 Deputy Chief of the Israeli Mission to the US, Eliav Benjamin, and the Economic Minister shared powerful insights on the diplomacy efforts, and what additional support is needed.
🇮🇱 Economic Minister Anat Katz provided compelling evidence on the resilience of the Israeli economy, that ramps quickly after a crisis.
🇮🇱 Dan Brahmy from Cyabra provided an overview from the front lines on the use of Israeli innovation to stop misinformation and attacks.
🇮🇱 Zach Jakob shared how innovators came together to create and support GiveIsrael.org
🇮🇱 Then a panel, honored by the Israeli Acting Consul General to New York, Tsach Saar, joined by Amir Zilberstein, Guy Franklin, Dean Sysman and Dr.Amit Elazari shared what innovators and Investors can do to support Israel. We talked about the resilience of Israeli startups and the importance of business continuity. We came together with a strong message - to champion innovation is to unequivocally support Israel.
With the threat landscape emerging, it was amazing to partner with ThriveDX and NightDragon to unveil OpenPolicy.
The cyber "human factor" and workforce training, skilling, and re-skilling is top of mind for nations and businesses alike. We just got to train more cyber professionals and bring more diverse skill sets to join this profession, while raising the bar for cyber skilling to all developers. From the implementation of the White House National Cybersecurity Strategy and Workforce Strategy to the EU Skills Academy - we know Cyber Workforce is a top priority for global governments. We were able to discuss this with an audience of CISOs and Policy Leaders.
Alongside ThriveDX, NightDragon and Deutsche Telekom OpenPolicy has hosted leaders in government, policy experts, leading entrepreneurs, executives, and VC investors for a dinner overlooking the Mediterranean at SEATARA.
It was truly an evening to remember, and these photos capture the insightful discussions. It was a pleasure discussing the latest trends at the intersection of security, policy, regulation, and innovation and how they impact the cyber industry.
